Another "On-The-Job" Electrocution!

The recent electrocution of a worker in Tobago is a grim reminder of the dangers associated with working near or under overhead energized electrical power lines.

Most persons are unaware that overhead power lines are for the most part not insulated. More than half of the electrocutions reported are caused by direct contact with energized power lines. Failure to maintain safe work distances from overhead power lines is a common cause of electrocutions at work, especially on building and construction work sites.
